Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the CEREMOTIK platform, including our web application, mobile interface, and USSD channels (*123#), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. These terms apply to all attendees, event organizers, and voters. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

2. User Accounts & Responsibilities

Users may browse events and purchase tickets as guests; however, organizers must create an account to manage events. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Ensuring all uploaded event details, logos, and descriptions are accurate and do not violate third-party intellectual property.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

3. Ticketing & Payments

CEREMOTIK facilitates the sale of various ticket types (VIP, Early Bird, Group, etc.) and processes payments through authorized partners including PayPal, FlutterWave, Payoneer, and Cryptocurrency gateways.

Service Fees: We charge a platform service fee of 11.5% on ticket sales (standard rate) unless otherwise negotiated. For organizers using our USSD voting platforms, a service fee of 30% applies.

Anti-Scalping: To ensure fair access, we implement purchase limits per user. Any attempt to circumvent these limits may result in ticket cancellation without a refund.

Refunds: Refund policies are set by the individual event organizer. CEREMOTIK is not responsible for issuing refunds unless the organizer has authorized such a transaction through the platform.

4. Voting & Contests

Our voting platform is designed for high-integrity results. By participating in a vote (Online or USSD), you agree:

Integrity: Any attempt to manipulate results via botting, fraudulent accounts, or technical exploitation is strictly prohibited.

Blockchain Logging: You acknowledge that for certain high-stakes contests, vote tallies are logged on a public blockchain ledger to ensure 100% transparency and cannot be altered once cast.

5. Use License & Restrictions

CEREMOTIK grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the platform for personal or professional event management. You may not:

• Decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the platform.
• Use the platform for any illegal activities or in violation of Nigerian law.
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notations from platform materials.
• Automate the collection of event data (scraping) without express permission.

6. Disclaimer & Limitations of Liability

The services on CEREMOTIK are provided on an 'as is' basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy of materials uploaded by organizers or the continuous availability of USSD sessions in areas with poor network connectivity.

In no event shall CEREMOTIK be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use our platform, including but not limited to loss of data or profit, even if we have been notified of the possibility of such damage.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location for any disputes arising from your use of the service.

8. Modifications

CEREMOTIK may revise these Terms of Service at any time without notice. By continuing to use the platform after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the updated version of these terms.
